Harpsichord en fête

The Institut français d’Ecosse presents Edinburgh’s first-ever international harpsichord festival: Harpsichord en fête.
From March 7th to the 12th, we invite you to participate in a week-long celebration of the harpsichord and baroque music.

Opening Concert

On March 7th, the festival’s opening concert will be performed by Paolo Zanzu, an Italian harpsichordist with very European credentials. With his virtuosity and his liveliness, Paolo will focus on the period from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century, featuring compositions by Bach, Babell, Handel, and Scarlatti.

Within a Furlong of Edinboro’ Town

On March 9th, he Institut français is delighted to welcome for the first time in Edinburgh and in Scotland the ensemble Le Stagioni, with Liv Heym (violin), Tiam Goudarzi (recorder), Emilia Gliozzi (cello) and Paolo Zanzu (harpsichord).
